Savor it with your eyes!

im "treating" all to 2 places at the Stadium Waterfront =p COME'ON ! FOLLOW ME!
if any is wondering where it is, its actually in Kallang and its situation within the premises of the indoor stadium..

#1 THE MUSHROOM POT
calling for all mushroom lovers!

ok this place serves EVERYTHING of mushroom! its actually more of a steamboat restaurant. theres a variety of soup base to choose from. the one i wld recommend is Herbs one.. its light and goes very well with all the mushroom steamboat ingredients. of course they do have beef, poultry.. vege, fishball etc. the very usual steamboat delights..

a set for 4person is about $100 with all the ingredients of the steamboat and also a few other dishes of your choice. they have drunken chicken, fried brinjals with pork floss, deep fried shiitake mushroom *cant really remember all* but they have quite a variety of dishes to go along with the steamboat! all of which are of a certain standard! :)

its gonna be very worthwhile if you haven't tried it. my family loves it and we patronise the place once every 3months. ard there lah.. for one big reason, its healthy!

my family just went there for advanced Mother's Day dinner last week.. :)
*sorry wei pork! cldn't take much photos to show ur ter ter, too big a crowd, when the food reaches the table its gone within the next min! :p*

the MOTHERS! :) and mother-to-be

after the dinner i asked my ah ma how she think of the food. she say its fine but too expensive blah blah blah! old ppl are always like tt isn't it? nothing is cheap to them.. but i told her, not many ppl get to gather the whole entire family to go for a mother's day dinner. we're doing it every year, for every occassion.. from mother's day to father's day, any aunts' or uncles' or my cousins' birthday, we'll always meet up for a meal - at least. so she shld be glad.. she nodded and was convinced by my words! haha..

hereby wish all noble mothers, a very very happy mother's day. best of health and biggest smile always! you ladies deserve it.. =)

when i left mushroom pot, this new restaurant beside it caught my attention and i was really drawn to the nice deco from outside.. the menu sounds really good too! so i decided to meet the Usual Bunch there for dinner yesterday :)

#2 Le Bistrot

http://www.lebistrot.com.sg/le_bistrot_002.htm

its a french bistro cuisine. thumbs up! definitely worth giving a try.

nice ambience, very friendly and polite service staff, food was really good and price was pretty reasonable for all that you're paying for.

$38 for main + dessert or entree + main. $48 for entree+main +dessert. we all opted for the $38 main + dessert. it was just nice! both the main and dessert portions were acceptable and pretty filling aft the whole meal. not forgetting their free flow of SOFT & WARM bread! hehz.

the place~

this lil section looks really cool with a series of magazines they have been featured in :)

nice light bulbs that created a really fuzzy warm lighting for the romantic ambience

and here comes the foooooooooooooodddd!
the SOFT & WARM bread that goes so well with the lightly salted virgin olive oil. woooo..
here comes Eunice's main course - RUMPSTEAK

Bertrand's Duck Leg Confit with potato puree and honey mustard vinaigrette

me and Yixian went for TENDERLOIN.

wooooooooooooooooo. REAL GOOD! im a beef lover and i have beef whenever i have a choice. this is one of the better ones ive tasted. at the first look i though the fries look a lil cheap for such environment.. upon tasting it.. its different! crispy and its not like those served it fastfood restaurants, the taste is diff with a heavier taste of potatoes.. not oily even though i finished the entire portion.. very sinful indeed!this is Nougat Glace. ice cream base which they made it themselves.. very unique, one of its kind!

i selected the Tarte au Chocolate. THICK slightly bitter chocolate on the top that goes with a pastry crust and lemon custard dressing on the side of the plate.. if you love the bitterness and sourness in the combi of dark choc and lemon! ;)
Creme Brulee..though a very common dessert in many restaurants. this is slightly diff with 3 different flavours! Vanilla Bean, Earl Grey and Chocolate. i love the Earl Grey!
and thats US... =D

one plus point when u dine at the Stadium Waterfront. the night dont end aft the dinner.. can always take a walk down this niceee bridge behind the restaurants. its extra relaxing with the breeze and the absence of crowd..
after which, we went to the Beacon Bar which is next to the bridge..
nice open air bar. but the drinks really sux! first and last time.
though the very unique design is worth mentioning.. a bar that changes colour every 5 secs?
look!

with that.. hope you all have enjoyed the feasting with ur eyes! :)
